Обновление плагина WordPress Form Manager
Плагин WordPress Form Manager (Form Manager) версии 1.6.41 работал с версиями вордпресса эпохи 3.х. Работает он и сейчас, на WP 4.6.1, но не совсем: в нём захардкожено обращение к базе данных при помощи расширения mysql, в то время как современный мир использует расширение mysqli.
Хорошей идеей было бы обновить плагин, но по его адресу https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-form-manager/ ничего не находится. Этот плагин был жив слишком давно, не сейчас.
Ситуацию можно исправить, если насильно приказать свежему вордпрессу использовать устаревшее расширение для работы с mysql:

Но и это решение мне не подходит, потому что я планирую использовать PHP7 на Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, а там в дефолтных настройках у меня есть только mysqli.
К счастью, автор плагина хоть и забросил работу над ним, хоть его плагина и нет в репозитории, но всё ещё жив сайт http://www.campbellhoffman.com/
Пустой. Старый. Но в разделе Form Manager… есть ссылка на скачивание последней версии плагина!! WordPress Form Manager 1.7.4
И в этой версии Кэмпбелл Хоффман всё-таки реализовал поддержку mysqli! Ура!
